THE CHURCH as the Equipping Centre in carrying out the Great Commission; the Possessing the Nations Agenda

THE CHURCH as the Equipping Centre in carrying out the Great Commission; the Possessing the Nations Agenda

On Sunday February 6th, 2022, The  Chairman Of The Church Of Pentecost, Aps. Eric Nyamekye worshipped at PIWCA CCRA and ministered on the Theme: THE CHURCH as the Equipping Centre in carrying out the Great Commission; the Possessing the Nations Agenda.

Biblical References: Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 19:27, Acts 17:6, Matthew 13:24-40, John 17:14, Hebrews 11:24-26, Obadiah 1:17-21, Hebrews 12:12.

Some of the highlighted Points in his message included:

1. The mandate of the Great commission is bigger than evangelism, which is the proclamation of the gospel with the hope of converting people from the world to have faith in Christ and to join our churches.

2. The Church is the Equipping Centre, a training ground, where believers are prepared as an Army of God to impact the society with Kingdom principles, lifestyle and values.

3. The relevance of the Church is how it impacts society to the praise of our Lord.

4. If churches don’t stand up against societal evil nothing will change.

5. The church’s main task is to raise kingdom-minded people and unleash them into the world to transform their spheres of influence.

6. One of the purposes why Jesus established His church is for it to be a place from where saviours or deliverers are raised to transform the domineering and oppressive systems of the society.

7. Just as the Lord made Moses and Aaron like God to Pharaoh, so has He made Christians, saviors to our world.

8. When people experience God through our teaching ministry, they become fully aware of the power dimensions of God.

The Church is the equipping Centre for the Great Commission and the possessing the nations agenda. If the church fails in the discharge of this mandate, it fails God and entire humanity. May the Lord help us!
