The Women’s Ministry of PIWC Accra, in collaboration with the Schools Outreach Ministry, celebrated the International Day of the Girl-Child. The theme was “Girls Vision for the Future: Unleashing the Girl-Child for an impactful future”.
This took place at the Dome, ATTC. It occurred during the worship time with the schools from 7:30am – 8:15am. Then it continued with Kokomlemle ‘2’ Basic School from 8:30am – 9:00am.
A presentation was made on the theme – Girls’ Vision for the Future and also, on Menstruation and Dysmenorrhea.
After the presentation Mrs. Margaret Mills Addai, the Resident Minister’s wife, donated 306 Sanitary pads to the girls. She also gave them 360 deodorants on behalf of the Church, Schools Outreach Ministry and Women’s Ministry. This marked the Girl-Child Day Celebration.
Some key persons in attendance were Aps. Kingsley Addai (Resident Minister), Mr. Arko Dometey (Principal ATTC), ATTC Management and Staff, Mad. Cynthia Nyakpoh (Head Teacher, Kokomlemle ‘2’ Basic School) and staff. Elder Philip Addo (Schools Outreach Coordinator) and Team also attended. The Women’s Ministry Executive were there.
We also acknowledge all the sponsors. They came in at the eleventh hour to make this project successful to the glory of God.
